The 5th National Advanced Training Course on New Technologies for Pathogen Nucleic Acid Detection was held in Luoyang City, Henan Province, from May 13th to 16th, 2019, by Chinese CDC. Experts with rich experience in nucleic acid detection from the nationwide CDC, the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, National Institutes for Food and Drug Control, research institutes, hospitals and universities were invited to present latest technologies and research, and provide a platform for cooperation and transformation in the application of new lab technologies and methods.

During this period, NAP-Fluo Molecular Diagnostic System from Merlin Biomedical was revealed to the public. The innovative design concept attracted the attention of experts and scholars, as well as Professor Ma, the President of the Society, who had a deep conversation with Dr. Shen, the General Manager of Merlin.

The system consists of three parts: NAP-Fluo Cycler, NAP-Fluo Tube and reagents.

NAP-Fluo Cycler, incorporated modules of nucleic acid purification, PCR amplification, fluorescence signal excitation-collection-analysis, reporting system and user friendly interaction interface, is creatively designed and devoted to simplifing nucleic acid-d companion diagnostic tests, minimizing manual intervention and ensuring the accuracy and stability of detection results simultaneously.

NAP-Fluo Tube for single use, innovatively integrated with micro-pipetting arm and reagent tubes distributed on a concentric circle,  is structurely sealed from contamination. The micro-pipetting arm, acvatived by NAP-Fluo Cycler, executes preset assay program by suction, drainage of reagent and systematic movement in polar coordinates motion mode without leakage.

At this conference, experts and scholars commended the originality, sealing and simplicity of NAP-Fluo Molecular Diagnostic System, discussed the practicability of clinical application and CDC emergency application scenarios, shared suggestions for speeding up product marketing and optimization.
